Setting Up Your Venue
Initial steps to configure your venue on Clay Ledger
First Steps
After your account is created, complete these steps to get your venue ready for bookings.
1. Configure Venue Settings
Go to Settings > Venue to set up:
- Directory listing — Choose whether your venue appears on the Clay Ledger shooting grounds directory. Add your county and a description so customers can find you.
- Notification email — Set the email address that receives booking notifications. This can be different from your login email.
- Google Review URL — Paste your Google Maps review link. Customers will receive a review prompt after their event.
2. Connect Stripe
You need a Stripe account to accept payments. Go to Settings > Payments and click Connect with Stripe to begin onboarding. Stripe will guide you through verifying your identity and bank details. See Connecting Stripe for full details.
3. Set Your Site URL
In Settings > Payments, enter your website URL. This is used to generate payment links and booking URLs for your customers.
4. Create Your First Event
Go to Events > New Event to create your first competition or session. See the Events documentation for a walkthrough.
5. Invite Your Team
If you have staff who need access, go to Team and invite them by email. You can assign them as admins (full access) or members (limited access).
