Managing Gift Cards

Gift Card List

Go to Gift Cards in the sidebar to see all issued gift cards. The list shows each card’s code, amount, remaining balance, status, recipient, expiry date, and creation date.

Searching & Filtering

• Search — Find a gift card by code or recipient name
• Filter by status — Show only active, redeemed, cancelled, or expired cards

Issuing a Gift Card Manually

To create a complimentary gift card (e.g. for a competition prize or promotion):

1. Click Issue Gift Card
2. Enter the amount in pence
3. Enter the recipient’s name and email (both required)
4. Click Issue

The gift card is created immediately and the recipient receives an email with their gift card code. Manually issued gift cards bypass payment — use this for comps and prizes only.

Cancelling a Gift Card

To void a gift card so it can no longer be redeemed:

1. Find the gift card in the list
2. Click Cancel

Cancelled gift cards cannot be reactivated. If the card was purchased online, consider issuing a refund through Stripe separately.

Exporting Gift Cards

To download all your gift card data:

1. Click Export CSV
2. A CSV file downloads containing: code, amount, balance, status, recipient, expiry, and creation date

Use this for accounting, audits, or importing into spreadsheets.

Gift Card Settings

Go to Settings > Gift Cards (or click the settings link on the Gift Cards page) to configure:

• Enabled/Disabled — Toggle whether gift cards are available for purchase on your website
• Expiry months — How long gift cards are valid (1-120 months)
• Minimum custom amount — The minimum amount for custom-value gift cards
• Denominations — Predefined gift card values customers can choose from (e.g. 2500, 5000, 10000 for amounts in pence)
