Cancel, pause, and reactivate memberships

Cancelling a Membership

To permanently end a membership:

  1. Open the member detail page
  2. Click Cancel Membership

If the member has a Stripe subscription, it is cancelled automatically. The member’s status changes to “cancelled” and they lose any member benefits (e.g. booking discounts).

You cannot cancel a membership that is already cancelled.

Pausing a Membership

To temporarily suspend a membership (e.g. for injury or travel):

  1. Open the member detail page
  2. Click Pause Membership

If the member has a Stripe subscription, it is paused in Stripe. The member’s status changes to “paused” and member benefits are suspended until reactivated.

You can only pause an active membership.

Reactivating a Membership

To resume a paused or cancelled membership:

  1. Open the member detail page
  2. Click Reactivate Membership

If the member has a Stripe subscription, it is reactivated in Stripe. The member’s status returns to “active” and benefits are restored.
